Wesley So has won the Sinquefield Cup 2026. The American grandmaster finished level with India's Praggnanandhaa R on 5.5 points out of 9, and the title was decided by a playoff that went all the way to Armageddon.

All five games in the final round were drawn. So drew with Javokhir Sindarov, and Praggnanandhaa drew with Anish Giri, so the two leaders finished level. Sindarov and Vincent Keymer shared third place on 5 points.
